Has the system helped you on the project? “Without doubt. It has been quite easy to use, and has saved much time and money in not worrying about filing documents. Apart from document transmittal, I found the fact that it replaces email to be of utmost use. Will definitely use it again if possible”

“On the whole the system is pretty faultless
It does what its supposed to and is easy to use. I was a fairly heavy user; drawing issues to and from and RFI's. Upload and download speeds are TERRIFIC.
Messages I found I preferred to receive by email though sometimes the fear of opening Cadweb could be too great, a case of opening the cupboard and everything falling out on top of you, information overload maybe??
I found when logging on for a particular reason I would be easily distracted by my inbox and end up doing something else.
perhaps this is personal management.

“The system made it very easy to issue drawings, track issues of drawings by BLL to sub-contractors, track revisions of drawings.
As an older engineer who was brought up on drawing boards and slide rules I found it very easy to use.The search facility was very useful to track revised drawings and when sub-contractors received drawings. Many times sub-contractors claimed they had not received drawings it took about 30 seconds to confirm they had received them.
Due to the pressure of the project CMM did not use the "Red lining" system to approve drawings.
The RFI system worked well although one problem the number I received which did not require CMM action.
When an EDMS system was proposed I was concerned that I would find it difficult to use but this was incorrect as I found it very easy to use.
It was very easy to resolve problems between our site staff and the office by transfer of sketches etc.
Since all information sent to CMM came through me it made it very easy for me to control issue of information within the CMM team.
My overall impression of Cadweb was it is an excellent system.”
