This is the company that more or less invented the online project collaboration industry back in 1995 when knowledge of the “internet” was largely confined to readers of Wired magazine. Since then its growth has followed an exponential curve, that is, very slowly followed by very fast. That is, it took six years before its system contained 500,000 files, yet by last summer it contained 3 million, which, if you’ve a moment, saves paper that would be sufficient to cover 200 football pitches. Or, to put it another way, it has made hundreds of thousands of people’s working lives a great deal easier.
